PONTIAC & DRIVER RICK BELL TESTING NEXT GENERATION OF REVOLUTIONARY COOLANT
US DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE BECOMES INVOLVED.

Lime Rock, CT - Evans Cooling Systems announces that it has completed the development of NPG+, the next generation in the proprietary heat transfer fluids invented by its Chairman, Jack Evans. The Burnham Boilers 200 Busch North Race, the October 14th weekend will be the first race weekend in which the #78 Rick Bell, Evans Engine Cooling, Pontiac will use this coolant in competition. The new NPG+ (termed the "F-3") was developed to dramatically reduce the viscosity of the "water free" coolant which improves its extreme cold temperature flow (0°F and below), while improving heat transfer at all temperatures by as much as 28%. As with all Evans fluids the NPG+ is rated "safe" and is essentially non-toxic. Evans NPG cooling technologies are currently used in all forms of racing from dirt track, modifieds, and sprinters to NASCAR, ARCA, NHRA and AMA/WERA motorcycles. Even highly specialized formula racing cars utilize the advantages found with Evans Cooling. Current developments in the highest levels of European racing reveal improved cooling, engine performance and aerodynamics. Recently the US Department of Defense and Evans Cooling Systems signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement ("CRADA") defining a program which will establish the procedures needed to move NPG+ to be the "mil-spec" coolant for the US Army. The CRADA also sets a charter for the established programs to also be directed to help move the Evans technology into the private sector (public vehicles: trucks, cars, etc). Racing continues to be the best environment for Jack Evans, a race engine developer since 1967, to apply and test his inventions. With the Evans development shop finding an additional 25 HP for the #78 's engine, since the strong 8th place finish at Watkins Glen, Jack and driver Rick Bell anticipate an up-front finish. And they expect the new NPG+ to function flawlessly this weekend, showcasing its advantages. For Race Tickets Call Lime Rock Park at: 860 435 0896 |
