Run Faster - Run Better - Never Overheat!

Evans Waterless Coolants are the ONLY 100% waterless automotive engine coolant available on the market. All Evans Waterless Coolants are a chemical blend that results in more efficient cooling due to a higher boiling point. The increased boiling point of the coolant eliminates the occurance of boil over, cavitation, and detonation. Not only do Evans Waterless Coolants not boil over, they do not freeze. At extreme cold temperatures the coolants contract and become extremely thick, not becoming solid and expanding like antifreeze containing water. Because Evans Waterless Coolants do not contain water electrolysis and corrosion are also eliminated. Every Evans Waterless Coolant requires the entire cooling system to be drained (radiator, engine block and heater core) and refilled 100% with one of the Evans Waterless Coolants. No need to add anything. Evans now has three different coolants to choose from depending on the application and use of your specific vehicle. Also available is a flush fluid for smaller engines without block drains.

Evans NPG+ Coolant

NPG+

Evans NPG+ Waterless Coolant is the recommended coolant for all gasoline and diesel engines. NPG+ is a stand-alone lifetime coolant that does not freeze, or boil over. NPG+ controls detonation, cavitation, and is non-corrosive. Installing NPG+ requires the radiator, engine block and heater core to be drained completely and then filled 100% with NPG+. NPG+ meets or exceeds both the ASTM D 1384 corrosion test and the ASTM D 3306-94 specifications.

Boils 375°F @ 0 psi
Freezes -40°F
Viscosity 2.3cp @ 212°F
Surface Tension 44dyn/cm

$32.50 per Gallon

Evans NPG-R Coolant

NPG-R

NPG-R is specifically formulated to handle the extreme conditions of racing and high performance automotive, marine and motorcycle applications. The reduced viscosity of NPG-R makes it more compatible with small tube copper-brass radiators while providing the superior cooling of Evans Waterless Coolants. Although NPG-R is safe for all metals and contains no water, an annual coolant change is suggested for racing vehicles. For maximum corrosion protection, high performance street driven vehicles running NPG-R should change coolant every other year.

Boils 400°F @ 7psi
Freezes -10°F
Viscosity 2.0cp @ 212°F
Surface Tension 46dyn/cm

$32.50 per Gallon

Evans NPG Coolant

NPG

Evans NPG Waterless Coolant is the original waterless coolant. NPG is only recommended for racing engines that run on tracks or in series that have a “no ethylene glycol’ rule. NPG is also a stand-alone coolant. To convert to NPG the radiator, engine block and heater core must be drained completely. NPG is not recommended for daily drivers or cold weather vehicles.

Boils 369°F @ 0psi
Freezes -79°F
Viscosity 2.8cp @ 212°F
Surface Tension 36dyn/cm

$32.50 per Gallon

Evans Prep Fluid

Prep Fluid

Evans Prep Fluid is a waterless flush designed for smaller engines. Prep Fluid should be used when the block drains cannot be removed to drain out water antifreeze trapped in the engine block. Prep Fluid is recommended for all motorcycles converting to NPG+ or NPG. Prep Fluid is not intended to be an operating coolant.

$27.75 per Gallon

Evans NPG+ waterless coolant is a blend of glycols. Evans NPG Coolant is 100% inhibited Propylene Glycol. Both can maintain a substantially vapor-free, liquid-to-metal contact at all coolant temperatures and engine loads. By bathing the entire combustion chamber with coolant 100% of the time, metal temperatures are controlled to such an extent that critical levels of detonation and pre-ignition are never reached. Because of the naturally high boiling point of NPG+ / NPG / NPG-R (375°F / 370°F / 400°F) , the need for adding high pressure to the cooling system is eliminated. With low pressure (4 to 7 psi) in the system, gasket seals, hose connections, and even the radiator operate safer and longer.

Nucleate Boiling

Race engines have the capacity to operate at much higher efficiencies, which leads to higher power production. The limiting factor has always been the conditions imposed by water-based cooling systems, including low boiling point and excessive vapor generation. These conditions cause localized coolant boiling, vapor blanketing at hot spots and the resultant destructive detonation and pre-ignition.

When vapor blankets the surface, water-based coolants lose their ability to absorb heat from the hot spots in the combustion chamber, leading to high metal temperature spikes well above critical detonation levels. The result is loss of power from detonation or component structural failure from pre-ignition in the form of piston damage and/or warped or cracked heads.

The boiling point of Evans NPG+ Coolant is 375° F in a non-pressurized system, NPG Coolant is 370° F, NPG-R is 400°F. On-track testing, in both Evans-owned and Evans-sponsored race cars, has shown that even if an Evans NPG cooling system is forced to operate at temperatures up to 300° F, detonation/pre-ignition control and previously forbidden combustion chamber pressures and temperatures are no longer a danger to engine efficiency and durability.

Evans NPG Coolants are essentially "lifetime" coolants. In-vehicle, on-the-road 10 year tests, with gasoline and diesel engines, have exceeded 200,000 miles and 500,000 miles (still running) respectively without any chemical or performance deterioration. Elimination of scheduled coolant changes alone makes Evans NPG Coolants your economical choice.
